Libvoikko 3.5rc1 is available for testing at

New in this release:

  * Better support for characters in cyrillic and Easter European alphabets
  * Experimental VFST backend
  * Core library and VFST backend available under GPL/LGPL/MPL tri-license
  * Improved error models for Finnish spelling and OCR correction
  * New and improved rules for Finnish grammar checking


To avoid a few minor regressions it is recommended (but not required) to
use Suomi-malaga 1.12 with this release. For now it can be downloaded from

  http://www.puimula.org/htp/testing/suomi-malaga-1.12rc1.tar.gz

You only really need Suomi-malaga 1.12 if you want to test the VFST
backend. To build an experimental Finnish VFST dictionary from
Suomi-malaga you need to run these (currently undocumented) commands:

  make vvfst
  make vvfst-install DESTDIR=/where/you/want/to/install/the/dictionary

Tools from libvoikko and HFST need to be installed for this to work.

Harri
